Overview

This exhibition of art by Jasper Francis Cropsey, a pre-eminent Hudson River painter, was drawn from the definitive collection of Cropsey’s oils, watercolors, sketches and historical memorabilia amassed by Mrs. Barbara Newington, Cropsey’s great great-granddaughter, and her late husband John. Curator Nancy Hall-Duncan worked with Mrs. Newington and the Newington-Cropsey Foundation to present this superb group of Cropsey artwork and this accompanying catalog.
